Brochures and Trail Guides
ESC researches all topics to be included in our brochures and trail guides. We have an in-house artist who complements our text with original artwork. After completing the layout, we digitize the product in preparation for print.

Signage
Signs help explain a project to visitors. Our signs might include information on wetlands, sinkholes, caves, common birds, other animals, plant habitat, as well as archeology and history. Rules of conduct are often included in hiking trail signs. Some signs have been created for teachers and students to discuss environmental education concepts.Signs placed in outdoor locations are created to withstand the elements. Our permanent signs, fabricated with phenolic resin, have text and artwork imbedded within the resin, which is highly vandal-proof. These signs are attached to angled pedestals and need no additional protection. For some projects, we design seasonal, semi-permanent signs that can be switched out during the year.

Our semi-permanent signs are made of laminated poster board or are printed directly onto metal. They are installed inside our rustic kiosks, behind a protective, locable plexiglass window. Most of our kiosks are double-sided, which give clients the opportunity to display a variety of information on both sides.

Interpretive Benches
ESC has designed interpretive brochures for public gardens as a way to present information while bringing the garden close to visitors. Each bench has a back that can hold printed, laminated information explaining the garden. ESC works with clients to develop additional options, making each bench a small interpretive center.

Annotated Plant Lists
For clients who want to learn about the diversity of native plants in their landscape, we create annotated plant lists. These lists are based on the large data base of information ESC has been accumulating over many years. Information can include botanical as well as geologic and faunal information.
